Starting an expat life can be overwhelming. It always starts with you, closing one chapter of your life. The next day, a new one opens in another country. You slowly settle down, build new habits, and make new connections. You naturally want to make yourself at home. Time passes, but suddenly, you may realize the life you've built is either still, or not going in the right direction, the desired depth, or the ideal pace. It is never too late to reinvent yourself. It is actually healthy to create a new version of ourselves regularly. How do you reinvent yourself as an expat woman?
First, imagine.
Just imagine... for a full day, you have the unlimited power to create the life you have always dreamed of. Not the one from your parents or the one that the majority immediately pictures: being on a paradisiac island, doing nothing productive nor fulfilling.
No, think deeper. This is the only day when you can make anything come true. This dream life is the one that puts your heart on fire, the one that when you talk about it, you immediately get an extra boost of energy to make it happen. Your brain goes into creative, productive, and purpose-driven mode. Usually, that one brilliant idea leads to another one.
